I was one of three Cape Town Commercial photographers hired by Credico International to take their Corporate Award Ceremony photos at their grand award ceremony hosted at the V&A Waterfront. All the international bosses were in Cape Town to give speeches and hand out awards to local recipients. The event was spectacular and hosted on a grand scale.

This wonderful Century City corporate shoot took place with a company by the name of Stiegelmeyer who called upon me again to do their annual shoot and company portraits.
Stiegelmeyer are in the medical business and manufacture a range medical care products like the fancy beds you get in hospitals.
What a great bunch of people, it is always nice to go back to people you have worked with in the past.
Here are a couple of photos from the shoot.
See you guys next year!
Killarney Race Circuit outside Cape Town (well not outside really anymore) recently hosted the Passion For Speed event that draws vintage entries from overseas. Most of the participants are wealthy oldish men (and a few women) who travel around the world racing beautiful vintage racing cars.

Meanderings around the Cape
I love wondering around forests whether they are pine or poplar or natural and taking photos of sunlit trees.
These are some I took a while ago at Bo-Piketberg, a really stuck away paradise that is accessible only from a very steep and windy road from Piketberg itself.
Joey and Maria’s eloped Cape Town destination wedding.
Joey and Maria both hail from Toronto in Canada and contacted me after deciding to elope during their planned holiday in Cape Town. They both come from big families of Italian descent and decided they would rather have a quiet ceremony on their own then the traditional large wedding that was expected back home (of course once everybody back home found out they almost immediately set out organizing a large bash for their return).
On the Rocks Restaurant in Bloubergstrand was the venue for their beautiful wedding on a cool and cloudy Saturday morning. Everything went off smoothly and they were married before any of their families back home had any idea. After taking some lovely photos around Bloubergstrand we headed for the amazing Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens where we had to sneak in (no wedding photography allowed) and shoot some amazing photos at various locations in the beautiful gardens.
We were scheduled to go up Table Mountain for a sunset shoot later in the day but the weather had turned foul and the wind was pumping so we rescheduled for Monday that turned out to be the perfect day for such a shoot as there was not even a breath of air at the top of Table Mountain.
All the very best Joey and Maria, it was a pleasure photographing your wedding.

Cape Town Photographers
When it comes to Cape Town Photographers, John Rodger is an experienced and exceptional photographer with an outstanding and diverse portfolio.
His passion for photographing people and his ability to get the best out of them make him an exceptional commercial and corporate photographer.
He also has a deep passion for travel and loves to be in the middle of nowhere as often as possible and naturally his photography extends to these fields including documentary and editorial.
His beginnings were in shooting weddings and extreme sport that took him all over the country and that he still loves doing (occasionally).

Travel Blog Awards 2016
I was privileged to be the photographer for the prestigious Travel Blog Awards 2016 event that was held at the Table Bay Hotel on Saturday. Although it was freezing outside (it looks like real winter has arrived this time in Cape Town) this was soon forgotten as the guests and entrants arrived to a warm welcome and tables laden with lots to eat and drink.
The awards ceremony kicked off with some very interesting speakers who shared some of their knowledge and advise for travel bloggers.
The numerous sponsors for this event ensured that the prizes handed out in the various categories were substantial including trips overseas.
Overall it was a wonderful event and a pleasure to be part of it.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”6″ gal_title=”Travel Awards”]

I did this corporate shoot in Brackenfell for a company by the name of Frameless Glass that manufactures and installs frameless sliding and stacking glass doors. It is a busy company that employs 70 people and has a driven and focused team. It was a pleasure to take some awesome early morning photos of the staff and various teams.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”3″ gal_title=”FramelessGlass”]
