I was approached recently by the guys at GPP, a financial services company to do a corporate shoot so they could update their website and social media platforms with some new stuff. It was an enjoyable shoot with a bunch of great people.
It was a pleasure to be the wedding photographer for Carin and Armand, a wonderful couple from Durbanville.
They chose to exchange their vows in the historical NG Moederkerk in Durbanville followed by a beautiful reception at Rondekuil outside Durbanville.
It was a sweltering day and doing the bridal shoot in the blazing heat was challenging and we had no time to linger around.
The photos came out perfectly though and we had a lot of fun. It was a lovely wedding, filled with emotional speeches with warm friends and family.
All the very best to Carin and Armand and thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
I was so privileged and delighted to go overseas for the first time in September. We traveled to many places but Paris was special. I love the city and its people and the way everything happens. I could live there…if I could just learn some French!
I was recently hired to do a product photography shoot for a company that sells nail and beauty accessories. I set up a little studio on their premises with my portable lighting and that was all we needed to get some amazing product photos. During the editing of the photos I had to remove the background in some of the photos (deep etching) and that took quite a long time to do as it is quite a laborious task.
I hope they sell tons and tons.

I was one of three Cape Town Commercial photographers hired by Credico International to take their Corporate Award Ceremony photos at their grand award ceremony hosted at the V&A Waterfront. All the international bosses were in Cape Town to give speeches and hand out awards to local recipients. The event was spectacular and hosted on a grand scale.

This wonderful Century City corporate shoot took place with a company by the name of Stiegelmeyer who called upon me again to do their annual shoot and company portraits.
Stiegelmeyer are in the medical business and manufacture a range medical care products like the fancy beds you get in hospitals.
What a great bunch of people, it is always nice to go back to people you have worked with in the past.
Here are a couple of photos from the shoot.
See you guys next year!
Killarney Race Circuit outside Cape Town (well not outside really anymore) recently hosted the Passion For Speed event that draws vintage entries from overseas. Most of the participants are wealthy oldish men (and a few women) who travel around the world racing beautiful vintage racing cars.

Meanderings around the Cape
I love wondering around forests whether they are pine or poplar or natural and taking photos of sunlit trees.
These are some I took a while ago at Bo-Piketberg, a really stuck away paradise that is accessible only from a very steep and windy road from Piketberg itself.
I recently had the privilege of doing a commercial shoot at Century City for a company called SMSPortal.
They offer an International Bulk SMS Service and occupy a whole impressively decorated floor at the West Office Tower with 360 deg views of Cape Town.
It was also the occasion for them to celebrate their 450 millionth sms.
Their offices are complete with a play room where the staff can relax and even build complex Lego objects.
The shoot consisted of creating a new company photo portfolio as their photos were out of date.

This black and white photo is from a 21st I shot recently at The Grand Daddy Hotel rooftop bar in Long Street. I love the emotion in the photo as the boyfriend wishes his girlfriend a happy birthday but at the same time tells her how much he is going to miss her as she is leaving to go and live in Spain with her parents quite soon.
