I was privileged to be the photographer for the prestigious Travel Blog Awards 2016 event that was held at the Table Bay Hotel on Saturday. Although it was freezing outside (it looks like real winter has arrived this time in Cape Town) this was soon forgotten as the guests and entrants arrived to a warm welcome and tables laden with lots to eat and drink.

The awards ceremony kicked off with some very interesting speakers who shared some of their knowledge and advise for travel bloggers.

The numerous sponsors for this event ensured that the prizes handed out in the various categories were substantial including trips overseas.

Overall it was a wonderful event and a pleasure to be part of it.
