The West Coast Flowers are a spectacle that just has to be seen. Overnight between August and September every year the barren veld suddenly comes alive with the site of endless fields of bright flowers.
In even the driest and remotest areas like the Tankwa Karoo the sight of flowers as far as you can see is just breathtaking.
The Namaqualand area of South Africa that borders with Namibia is another desolate area that is transformed into spectacular and endless patterns of colorful flowers.
